DESCRIPTION
In her recent art work TANs Ruth Mateus-Berr engaged in art works which aims at creating empathy. In collaboration with people with dementia it became clear to her, how connections get lost more and more. Deeply touched by this phenomenon of the illness, she started to engage in visualizing the situation, inspired by art pieces, created in workshops with people with dementia and their assistants (care givers, family members).
TANs aims to create empathy for people with dementia by asking the viewer to place amorphous objects in context, experiencing a situation that people with dementia experience: connections are lost.
More information
